Star Wars Micro Galaxy Squadron Millennium Falcon Review

Editor's Review
The first thing you’ll notice about this toy is the immense amount of detail. The Millennium Falcon has an iconic basic structure, but one of its defining traits is the incredibly dense amount of small detail all over its surface. The Micro Squadron Millennium Falcon is a worthy replica, sculpting all of the panel lines, exposed mechanical doodads or vents, and covering nearly every inch with paint. The paint helps the molded details pop even more. There is a mix of wash, opaque paint, and airbrushing throughout. In short, the cosmetics are excellent. But we’ve barely scratched the surface here, so let’s look at the play features.
To start, you’ll need to provide 3 AAA batteries for the light and sound features. Install them and press the back left button for one second. The hyperdrive will activate and the engines will glow. From here, you can move the ship in various ways to get different flying sounds. Try moving side to side, up and down, and even going upside down! Press the back middle button for blasting noises. By far the best aspect of this toy is that it’s also a playset! Flip out the landing gear to rest it on a flat surface. You get 4 small figurines with the Micro Squadron Millennium Falcon: Han, Leia, Obi-Wan and Chewie. Where’s Luke? Tsk tsk. You can seat characters in the opening cockpit, or in the interior of the ship by removing the top. Interior is just as lush as the exterior. Place someone in the turret, or underneath the smuggling floor. Even the turret and satellite dish can be posed on a swivel. This toy has everything! Well, except batteries, and an off switch for the sounds. Leave the toy alone for 30 seconds to place it in sleep mode and whoosh silently.

Should I get it?
This is nearly the platonic ideal of a Millennium Falcon toy. It has everything you could want and more. We highly recommend picking this up, and checking out the rest of the Micro Galaxy Squadron line!
