Feel the Force and enter a world of epic action with the Star Wars Luke Skywalker’s Force Strike X-Wing. The vehicle comes with a four-inch action figure of Luke Skywalker in his Rebel flight suit. The action figure has nine points of articulation and fits inside the X-Wing’s cockpit. Luke also comes with a blaster accessory. Take aim at the Empire by launching the two projectiles with the push of a button, and slide out the two blue Force effects. R2-D2’s head can be seen in between the Force effects, and it spins. The X-Wing’s wings do close and open, but sometimes the wings also fall off when you do this. You’ll also need to assemble the wings before you play. A lot of the X-Wing’s details look weathered, as though they’ve seen some battle before, giving this a movie-realistic look.

Should I get it?

This toy helps fans ages 4 and up recreate the iconic scene from “A New Hope” when Luke helps destroy the Death Star. Because of its look and tie to the very first Star Wars movie, it will certainly have appeal to older collectors, but there’s plenty of playability for younger fans, too. We just wish the wings stayed on better.

Pros

Action figure included
Wings open and close
Launches projectiles
Imaginative play

Cons

Assembly was difficult
Wings don’t stay on well
