Rainbow High celebrates the year of the tiger with the limited-edition collectible Lily Cheng doll. Right off the bat, you can see how gorgeous the packaging is. There’s a red-and-gold ribbon at the top with a Rainbow High tag that says “You’ve earned your stripes”. The box closes with Velcro at the golden clasp and opens up to reveal the doll and her accessories.

The doll is stunning in a red matching top and skirt with a metallic gold embroidered pattern, horse-bit design hardware, and tiger print on the skirt. She also wears a matching corset belt with gold studs and lace platform shoes. On her wrists, she wears a variety of bracelets that pay tribute to the holiday by featuring lucky jade and tigers. She holds a traditional hand fan with molded sticks. Her black hair is pulled away from her face into two half buns, giving a better look at the red and gold highlights in her hair and the large red Chinese character earrings, which apparently mean “fire tiger”.

Her second outfit is a traditional red dress with tiger print and a bomber jacket with embroidered patches and horse-bit buckles. The black-and-gold shoes have red ribbon that laces up to a bow.

Inside the box, there’s also a doll stand and a comb.

Should I get it?

While the box is gorgeous and is perfect for those fans who want to keep the doll out on display, you know younger kids will want to introduce Lily to the rest of their Rainbow High dolls outside of the box. And there’s plenty of playability thanks to the doll’s poseability and her two outfits. This is a really well-made doll with lots of clever details and a beautiful design.
