Take your love of dolls anywhere with the Play Maysie The Home Case portable dollhouse. It looks like a tin lunchbox with two sides that open up. On one side you’ll reveal a kitchen with a table, two chairs, and kitchen sink. The other side has a living room with a couch, coffee table, and potted plant. These wooden pieces of furniture are built into the magnetic floor, and each magnetic floor can be removed for playtime outside of the dollhouse. There are also 12 magnetic play pieces that stick to the floors or the decorated interior of the dollhouse. These pieces can be stored inside the drawstring bag. The dollhouse’s handle and canvas carrying strap make this easy for kids to take the fun on the go.

Play Maysie dolls are sold separately in a set of six. The characters of Kate, Jack, Cora, Peter, Mei, and George are hand-sewn and filled with cotton and glass beads. The wooden button base allows the dolls to easily stand on their own and make fun sounds when walking.

Additional Play Maysie dollhouses include The Cozy Case and The Wild Case.

Should I get it?

The idea behind this toy line is “less mess, more play”. And we think parents will certainly like how compact this dollhouse is both during play and when stored away. The dollhouse and dolls have a really classic, charming look to them. The addition of the magnetic accessories inside the dollhouse jumpstart kids’ creativity, and the set of dolls are easy for small hands to hold and have a soft feel. We just wish that the dollhouse came with at least one doll, but any small doll or action figure (3.5 inches tall) that kids have could work.

Pros

Charming and classic look
