PLAI Poe the AI Story Bear Review

Listen to bedtime stories in a new way with Poe the AI Story Bear. This plush bear comes to life to tell kids one-of-a-kind stories with some help from kids and AI technology. First, you’ll need to download and open the Poe AI Story Creator app. Then, connect the bear to your phone or tablet via Bluetooth. The app will prompt you to create new stories from ideas that you select. Maybe you want to hear a scary story or a fantasy story. Then, your story needs characters, things, plot devices, and settings. The app will create your story, and then Poe will read it aloud to you. As the bear talks, its mouth moves. Stories are saved to your app’s library, where you can select and rate them. Or you can save some of your stories from your library directly onto Poe, so you can listen to them later without a device. Once Poe is disconnected, toggle through the saved stories by squeezing Poe’s right ear, then squeeze Poe’s left ear to start the story.

According to Sky Rocket, the toy uses Play Safe technology that limits the ideas shared with the AI. It doesn’t gather personal information, and no inappropriate themes or content are ever exchanged.
