Editor's Review
The game Night Knight turns pillow fights into a board game. Players are knights who must face their opponents with a pillow. The game comes with two small pillows and 56 character cards. The goal is to get rid of all your cards by completing the right actions on time.
Yes, you’ll actually be throwing the mini pillows, so make sure your playing area is free from fragile objects.
If you have three players, you only use one pillow. Use both pillows for a four- to six-player game. Shuffle the cards and deal them according to the number of players: 12 cards per player for three or four players, and eight cards per player for five or six players. Players are not allowed to look at their cards.
Each round is played in two phases: a fast Action phase and a fast Resolution phase. In the Action phase, all players flip over their top card so it’s visible to all players. This is the character you’ll be playing for this round. You might have an Attacking Knight, a Defending Knight, a Sleeping Dragon, or a Silent King. Each character has a different action. For instance, when there is a Defending Knight, an Attacking Knight quickly picks up a pillow from the center and throws it at the Defending Knight opponent. However, a Defending Knight can also grab a pillow from the center and use it as a shield. A Sleeping Dragon also tries to quickly grab a pillow to place it against their ear and pretend to sleep. But the Silent King prevents any player from grabbing a pillow.
Next is the Resolution phase. If you performed the correct action for your character, you get to discard that card. However, if you performed the wrong action, performed the action incorrectly, were not quick enough to complete the action, or touched a pillow by mistake, you must place your card at the bottom of your card pile.
Now, place the pillows in the center of the playing area and start a new round by flipping over a new character card. The game ends when a player discards their last card at the end of a round. That player wins the game!
You can also make the game easier for younger players by removing the Silent King cards from the deck.

Should I get it?
The premise of this game is easy to learn, but it’s a satisfying challenge to play because you’ve got to pay attention to your card’s action while also paying attention to what other players turned over. Using the pillows adds humor to the game. We definitely like this updated take on a pillow fight.
