Nerf Marvel Mech Strike Monster Hunters Iron Man Blast Blade and Captain America Blast Shield Review

The painting and sculpting on these gauntlets are great. Iron Man’s Monster Blast Blade is covered with dynamic diagonals and mechanical ridges, while Captain America’s Monster Blast Shield has these sharp teeth and vein-like growths around the concentric circles of the shield. To use either one, load a dart into the chamber and pull back on the spring loaded catch to prime for firing. Iron Man’s blade will deploy when you do this, and Captain America’s shield will split open, revealing even more sculpted detail below. There is a button to fire your dart on either side of the handle to accommodate righties and lefties alike. The dart fires an alright distance for a blaster of this size, but overall, not very far. Each hand blaster also comes with 2 extra darts, but unfortunately there is nowhere to store them besides your pocket. Still, extra darts are always appreciated. One thing of note, gravity kind of deploys iron man’s blade on its own. We are not sure if this is a bug or a feature, but we thought it was worth pointing out nonetheless.
