In keeping with the Elite tradition, the Double Punch features plenty of mechanical detailing, with the now iconic cerulean blue, lime green and fluorescent orange color scheme, and a playful gradient thrown in. It also has a transparent core, allowing you to see the mechanism inside. Look up to as well for dart storage and a tactical scope rail. But enough of the looks, let’s take this for a spin!

Right off the bat, track yourself down 4 AA batteries, since none are included. The Double Punch is a beast of a blaster, but it’s not all that heavy, surprisingly. One could conceivably dual wield these, which is very good news, as you’ll soon find out. The concept of this blaster is that it has 2 magazines, holding 10 darts each, which provide the blaster with ammo. But why 2? Well, there are also 2 barrels! Each mag supplies one of these barrels, and the barrels fire based on the pull and release of the main trigger while the motor button is held down. Essentially, you can fire twice as fast as a normal “one pull, one shot” blaster with the same amount of effort, all with one hand! The internal motor will ensure that you have a steady stream of darts until they are fully depleted, which, trust us, doesn’t take long! The blaster fires at a pretty good distance, but when you really lay the hammer down on the trigger, the distance can suffer slightly in exchange for the massive increase in fire rate. Even though the ammo runs out fast, it’s well worth the trade off for how high the fire rate is. Plus, you get 50 darts included with the set, so you won’t run out any time soon.

Should I get it?

The Double Punch’s unique two-barrelled, two magazine functionality and high rate of fire make it a worthy addition to your collection.
