It may be back-to-school season, but it’s also back-to-Hogwarts season thanks to MGA’s Miniverse Make It Mini Harry Potter Back to Hogwarts series. In this lineup of 12 mini collectibles, Harry Potter fans will get to make and collect mini replicas straight from the movies. From a Quidditch set to a Nimbus 2000 to a Gryffindor scarf, you won’t know what you get to build until you open the capsule and reveal the mini tools. You’ll use the instructions on the collector’s guide to help you create your mini replica. Some of the steps require a UV light, sold separately, or time in sunlight so that the resin can dry. Once created, your mini replica can be displayed, along with its accessories, right inside the capsule, which becomes a mini classroom.

Should I get it?

Crafty Harry Potter fans ages 8 and up will like adding even more Harry Potter-themed minis to their collections. These can be fun to make, although the process is sometimes messy and not all of the steps are easy to complete. Plus, some of the minis do require patience while waiting for the resin to harden. If your finished mini turns out okay (the one in our video review did not), it will look nice as part of a Harry Potter display or it could become an accessory for dolls and action figures, inspiring more imaginative play.

Pros

Fun unboxing
Nice displays
Imaginative play

Cons

Messy
Long wait time for drying
Some steps are hard to do
