Before you do anything, get a hold of 6 AA batteries, as they are not included. 4 are required for the RC, and 2 are needed for the remote control. Once you’re juiced up, switch the RC on, press the pairing button on the remote, and wait a brief moment for them to connect. Use the left stick to move forward and back, and the right stick to turn, just like most dual stick RCs. It can go decently fast, but the turn radius isn’t the snappiest, so start your turns a little earlier than you might think.
When you’re ready to step up your game, attach the spring loaded claw to the front bumper, and put it in the locked position. This makes the Jeep look like it has a pair of glasses on, which we like. Set your unsuspecting Dracorex somewhere on the ground, and the scene is set. Drive the RC straight into the dino in order to spring the claw and trap them. It doesn’t always spring, nor does it consistently grip the dinosaur. But trying to nail the capture is half the fun of this RC. You do start to get a feel for it the more you practice. The cab is spacious enough to load in two 1:18th scale figures, sold separately.
