Editor's Review
Celebrate Hello Kitty’s 50th anniversary with the Lite-Brite Super Bright HD Hello Kitty and Friends. It includes six templates featuring Hello Kitty, Badtz-Maru, My Melody, and Kuromi, plus 1,000 mini-pegs for turning those templates into works of art that light up. And these templates will light up brighter than before thanks to a display with double the LEDs and higher definition. You will need three AA batteries or a micro USB cable to power the display. Neither of these are included.
Create your art by choosing a template, placing it underneath the snap-on grid to keep it in place, and insert the pegs on the matching color mark on the template. You can place the pegs by hand or use the peg tool. When you’re done, pop out the display stand and press the power button to toggle through four light patterns: steady light, bounce, flash, and clockwise. After five minutes of inactivity, the Lite-Brite will turn off. You can choose to keep the lights on continuously by pressing and holding the power button for five seconds. But keep in mind that this mode will drain your batteries.

Should I get it?
While our kid tester was disappointed that the set did not come with a Cinnamoroll template, she still thought this was a cool activity. Hello Kitty fans will like showing off their fandom in this creative way.
