The Hogsmeade Village Visit set is 851 pieces, and will take you an hour and a half to two hours at a relaxed building pace. This set may be simple to build, but it’s still a good time. It’s even more fun to admire! The steep sloped rooftops are broken up by clear windows and traced with snow drifts. The molded brick blocks placed throughout the surface of both exteriors offer subtle detail that would otherwise make the walls look too plain. You also get a streetlight, wanted poster, and bench, all framed with snow.

The inside of the spaces are packed with detail from end to end. The Three Broomsticks have a tiny dining area, a bar, and a cozy upstairs lounge with a sofa, fireplace, and cabinet. The clear windows do even more for the inside view. Catch the light just right and it truly gets you immersed. Honeydukes is just as vibrant and colorful as you might imagine, with an entire shopping floor full of candy, a cash register, printed detail of shelves inside both walls, and a store room upstairs. This set has the best of both worlds, a sophisticated exterior, and a whimsical interior. There are a number of stickers to apply, but not too many. This set comes with a generous 7 minifigs, including Harry, Dean, McGonagall, Madam Rosmerta, Mr. and Mrs. Flume, and a 20th Anniversary Gold Ron Weasley. Since this is a 20th anniversary set, you get 4 random wizard cards to boot! As far as licensed LEGO sets go, this is as close as they come to perfection.

Should I get it?

This set is tons of fun to build and play with afterward. The diorama possibilities are nearly endless, and with 7 minifigures included, you have everything you need for a complete playset.
