The Bird of Paradise is 1,173 pieces and will take you no more than a few hours to build if you take your time. The build is broken up into the base, the pot, and the stems. So breaks and stopping points are easily implemented. The finished piece is magnificent. The colors are vibrant yet sophisticated. The understated black color of the pot allows the form and hues of the plant to shine by contrast. The stems are connected to the inner structure of the pot via rotating half pegs, so each stem is posable insofar as they can be rotated. Unfortunately, the stems cannot be bent, but this is a compromise I support, as it makes the stems all the more solid. Fewer joints mean fewer stress points. All the same, do exercise caution when admiring or transporting the piece so as to not accidentally force anything and risk stressing the plastic. There are a few points of ratcheted articulation at the base of each bloom so you can carefully choose what angle to display the flowers. The soil, somewhat humorously, is loose brown studs, so be sure to keep the plant on a level surface.
