LEGO Art Mickey Mouse and Harry Potter Review
There are brand new ways for LEGO fans and collectors to make LEGO works of art in the LEGO Art line. Disney fans will like the Mickey Mouse set, model number 31202, which also has an alternate build of Minnie Mouse. And Potterheads will like the Harry Potter set, model number 31201, which has four build options, one for each of the Hogwarts house crests.
The Mickey Mouse set includes 2,658 pieces for building either Mickey or Minnie. (If you purchase two sets, you can build both at the same time!) There’s an exclusive soundtrack to listen to while you build; just scan the QR code in the instruction booklet. And if you need to take a break from the building process, read more about these classic characters and the designer’s notes in the instruction booklet.
The same is true of the Harry Potter set, which includes 4,249 pieces. Choose your favorite Hogwarts Crest: Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, or Ravenclaw. Or purchase four separate sets and build them all, then display all four together as wall art. Read more about the design and the different Hogwarts houses in the instruction booklet, and download the exclusive soundtrack to immerse yourself in the world of Harry Potter as you build.
The building process is the same for both. Each model is made up of nine squares, and you build them one at a time. The pieces are all circular, giving the finished models a mosaic-style look. Each finished model is 15.5 inches by 15.5 inches.
Should I get it?
Either of these sets will be perfect to display in your home gallery. We love that the instruction booklets are more than just instructions, providing information for fans and having display-quality looks themselves. The building process is time consuming, but if you’re an art lover, a LEGO fan, and a Disney or Harry Potter fan, you’ll really enjoy building these stunning works of art.
