Editor's Review
Coffee time is also playtime with the Laugh & Learn Learn & Serve Coffee Cafe. Across three Smart Stages of play, the toy has more than 100 songs, sounds, tunes, and phrases to encourage early learning and developmental skills. The set comes with a pretend coffee machine, a cup, a spoon, a beverage carrier and two coffee cups with removable lids, a bag, a croissant, and a cookie.
Turn on the coffee machine and slide the Smart Stages switch to 1, 2, or 3. Then, press the light-up coffee button, letters and numbers button, or shapes button to hear sound effects, phrases, music, and more. In stage 1, kids ages 18 months and up will hear fun phrases, sounds, and songs that introduce colors, numbers, shapes, and opposites. In stage 2, kids ages 2 and up will follow prompts and play along to fun sounds and songs. And in stage 3, preschoolers ages 3 and up will hear sound effects, phrases, and music that inspires imaginative play.
Kids can also turn the knob on top for clicking sounds and “steaming” sounds, pop the coffee beans on top, turn the handle to “grind” the beans, and press the “pour” button to hear dripping and pouring sounds.
The toy has two volume levels and is supposed to come with three AA batteries, although ours did not.
