Hot Wheels Stunt Tracks Mid-Air Crash Review

Editor's Review
Racing, crashing, and folding for storage? That’s what kids – and parents – get from the Hot Wheels Stunt Tracks Mid-Air Crash track set. It comes with one Hot Wheels car, but if you want the crashing action, you’ll need to add more cars from your at-home stash. You’ll also need four D batteries, which are not included. Once you get this assembled, the 25-inch-tall and 37-inch-wide track set has space for parking cars on the side, but what you’ll really want to do is send the cars racing through the motorized booster and into the looped tracks. First, the cars will jump up to the orange loop, and then jump across to the blue loop, then jump down to the next blue loop, and then jump down to the bottom track where they’ll loop around and do it all over again. The more cars you send through, the greater chance of crashing where two of the jumps meet in the center of the track set. And that’s the kind of action that Hot Wheels fans love and expect. This track set is compatible with other Hot Wheels track sets, and a track diverter allows cars to race off the track after completing their loops. When it’s time to stop playing, follow the directions to fold it up and carry it off to storage or for playtime somewhere else.

Should I get it?
Kids will like the action of this track set thanks to its loops and four jumps. It looks really cool when you add more and more cars. Luckily, all the extra Hot Wheels cars we owned worked with this set. Assembly was pretty easy, though there was one piece that we couldn’t snap together, but it didn’t seem to affect the performance of the track or cars. It was more decorative. The folding feature is really nice, giving the track set a smaller footprint for storage.
