Flipslide comes preinstalled with 2 demo AA batteries, which is a nice plus. Holding it your hand, it has a satisfying weight. It’s very light, but has just enough heft to have some presence. The object of the game is to slide the side panels into place, so that they match the colors that appear in the middle. It’s trickier than it looks, but it’s really fun to handle! The side pieces slide incredibly smoothly, it practically qualifies as a stellar fidget toy without even turning the toy on!

Flipslide includes a few different modes to play, including multiplayer, memory mode, speed mode and level mode. In speed mode, complete 10 specific moves in a certain amount of time. Level mode gives you 5 move levels, 1 at a time, and the time allotted per move gets smaller and smaller with each level completed. Memory mode gives you a sequence to copy, which gets longer and longer as you succeed. Multiplayer has you go head to head with a buddy, completing sequences and passing it back and forth only when you complete a sequence correctly. The person left holding the Flipslide when the buzzer goes of loses! This game is as simple and enjoyable to play as it is to review!
