EXIT The Game Prison Break and Advent Calendar Review

Solve an escape room game in one night or solve a riddle every day with two new EXIT: The Game games. Prison Break is a brand new challenge where players try to escape the most secure prison in the world. And The Missing Hollywood Star Advent Calendar is a fun way to count down the days to Christmas with 24 daily riddles to solve. Both of these can only be solved once.

Prison Break is for two to four players ages 12 and up. The story is that you’re locked up in prison with no hope of getting out – until you receive a letter from a famous hacker who managed to escape the same prison. We can’t tell you too much else about the game without giving stuff away. But all you have to do is work together to solve the riddles. It seems easy enough but this is actually a four out of five difficulty level, so this game is definitely going to be for the more experienced escape room game players. The game comes with 88 cards (18 Riddle cards, 37 Answer cards, and 33 Help cards), two decoder disks, five strange items, seven sheets, and two screens. You will also need something to write with, paper, scissors, a stopwatch, and a timer. Some players may appreciate the level of difficulty in Prison Break, while others may find it too hard. 

If you need something a little easier, try the Advent Calendar, which is a beginner level game. In this game, you’ll be solving one clue each day in an attempt to find the missing movie star. You’ll use a story book, help book, and decoder table to get started, plus there are additional materials hidden behind the 24 doors of the calendar. This game can be played solo or with additional players ages 10 and up.
