Epic Hero Series Star Wars Figure Assortment Review

Editor's Review
The Epic Hero Series is Hasbro’s line of 4 inch figures which also covers Marvel characters. They typically have less sophisticated articulation, but respectable sculpt and paint nonetheless. In this case, our comparison point would be the 6 inch Star Wars Black Series.
The characters we have to look at are Ahsoka, RotJ Luke, a Stormtrooper, the Mandalorian, Grogu, Paz Vizla, and Sabine Wren. Testing these figures out, they have articulation in the head, shoulders and hips. No elbow or knee movement, which is slightly disappointing. However, this is made up for, in part, by the precise and detailed paint apps, and by the spread of accessories. Each character has an iconic weapon to go with them, such as Ahsoka’s white lightsabers, Luke’s green one, Mando’s Darksaber, etc. For those less inclined to fight, there are even non-combat accessories like Grogu’s poseable bassinet and a backpack for good-guy Luke. By far the figures with the most accessories are Sabine and Paz. Sabine has a jetpack, blade greave, shifting energy shield, and lightsaber. Paz, being the heavy gunner, is no slouch either. He includes a jetpack, a comically large blaster with a missile effect part, and a flamethrower greave. The flame is molded on and cannot detach, but heck if it doesn’t look cool. In summary, low articulation, but great looks and accessories for their scale.

Should I get it?
While serious collectors may or may not be impressed by the posing options, the paintwork and sculpts are very nice for their scale. Add in the accessories, and we can’t help but recommend you check the Epic Hero Series out for yourself. Younger fans will definitely love them!
Pros
- The paint and sculpt are particularly nice for the 4 inch scale.
- Accessories are plentiful and on point, for the most part.
Cons
- The articulation is a bit of a let-down, with no elbow or knee movement.
