Disney The Little Mermaid Mermaid Ariel, Vanessa, Transforming Ariel, Sing & Dream Ariel, and Ursula Dolls Review

Play out favorite scenes from The Little Mermaid with new dolls based on the live-action movie. 

With a look inspired by Halle Bailey, the actress who plays Ariel in the movie, Mermaid Ariel features the character with her signature mermaid tail and long braided red hair. The doll is poseable, making it easy for kids to pretend Ariel is swimming through the water. Her ombre-colored mermaid tail is super shimmery, with glitter on the fin. (The fin does need to be attached before you play.)

The Vanessa doll recreates the moment when Ursula transforms herself into a human. This poseable fashion doll wears a purple gown with removable shoes and necklace. Her long brown hair is perfect for styling.

Transforming Ariel allows kids to take Ariel from mermaid to human and back again. This two-in-one doll has a seashell necklace. Push the shell for the transformation. The blue dress opens to become a multi-colored mermaid tail. Close and push the tail up to return to human form. Just like the character in the movie, the doll has long red, braided hair. Instead of a seashell top, this doll wears a molded bodice that functions as a top with both the mermaid tail and the dress. Because of the transformation feature, this doll does not have waistline poseability. 

Bring the music from the movie to life with Sing & Dream Ariel. Press the button on the doll’s mermaid tail to hear a 30-second snippet of “Part of Your World”. Three button cell batteries are included for this feature. This version of Ariel still features long red hair with braids, as well as an ombre-colored mermaid tail with big glittery fin that does need to be attached. Because of the singing feature, this doll is not poseable at the waist.

You can’t play out The Little Mermaid without its villain, and the Ursula doll does a great job of bringing the character to life. This poseable fashion doll comes with the character’s signature tentacles, which need to be assembled, and a lavender updo. Her plastic dress has a little bit of sparkle. Ursula wears pearl drop earrings and a removable seashell necklace.
