You simply press down on the center hub with one hand and then secure the mattress and then release the locking mechanism with one hand for an instant fold. The padded mattress fits snugly in the bassinet which is raised for easy access to your baby. For your newborn, the zip-on, full-size bassinet stays attached when folded for the ultimate convenience so you don’t need to remove and reinstall the bassinet every time you store the playard. Once your baby is 15 pounds or begins to roll over the bassinet turns into a playard for either sleeping or playing. The bassinet is for a full-size infant up to 15 lbs and the large playard area is for toddlers up to 30 lbs. The breathable mesh sides allow you to see your little one at any time and its wheels make it easy to maneuver from room to room. The Dash comes with a carry bag so you can take it on the go. When it comes to cleaning up, the plastic parts can be cleaned with a damp cloth so you don’t have to worry about drool or spit up. I love that the Dash can be assembled in a snap and it’s super easy to go from infant to toddler at a moment’s notice thanks to its one handed set up. However, the toddler area is supposed to be for toddlers up to 30 lbs but our 22 lb toddler looked like he was ready to climb out of it, so just be aware of that.
