Editor's Review
If you don’t get a chocolate bunny in your Easter basket this year, just make your own with the Little Tikes Creative Chefs Easter Basket Kit. It comes with 13 realistic accessories to help kids mold and make pretend chocolate bunnies and color-change pretend eggs. There are two bags of Make It Mix sand compound, one to mold a pretend chocolate bunny and one to mold pretend marshmallow chicks. A recipe card uses pictures to walk kids through the process. These are pretend treats, so please do not eat them. And when the included cup is filled with icy cold water, use the dipper to dip the pretend eggs into the water for a color-change reveal. The eggs can even be opened so you can place the chick and bunny figure inside for another fun surprise. All of the tools can be stored inside the plastic basket.

Should I get it?
This kit lets kids mimic traditional Easter activities: dyeing eggs and making Easter candy. And it does it in a tactile and creative way. Closing the molds does take some force, so adults may need to help out with that. Because of its theme, it would be a fun Easter gift, but one that kids will want to create and play with all year long.
Pros
Comes with all tools
Tactile play
Imaginative roleplay
Cons
A bit of force needed to close the molds
