Craft ‘n Clay Jewelry Dish Kit Review
With the supplies in the Craft ‘n Clay Jewelry Dish Kit, kids can make, bake, and decorate three trinket dishes for holding jewelry or small toys. There are instructions for making three different designs: checkerboard, elegant marble, and striped quartz. Choose what colors of clay you want, roll them together per the instructions, flatten with the rolling pin, and use the circle stencil to cut off any extra. Then, you’ll need to place your design over an upside-down, oven-safe bowl and bake in a 275-degree Fahrenheit oven for 15 minutes. Once cooked and cooled, you can decorate your mini bowl with glitter glue, metallic paint, and gem stickers, all of which are included in the kit.
Should I get it?
The idea behind the kit is fun, but the execution is disappointing. We wish the instructions had included pictures to better guide kids (and adults) through the process. We baked all three clay circles, one over an upside-down bowl and two over smaller upside-down ramekins, and none of them curled up the way they look on the box. This is a disappointing kit.
