American Girl Kira Doll, Accessories, Animal Exam Table, and Comfy Platform Tent Review

Kira is American Girl’s 2021 Girl of the Year and she has a lot to unpack, including accessories, her Animal Exam Table, and the Comfy Platform Tent. Let’s start with the actual Kira doll! This American Girl is spending a month in Australia at her aunt’s Bailey Wildlife Sanctuary caring for koalas, wombats, and kangaroos. You can read more about her story in the included book! The 18″ Kira doll has green eyes and long, wavy blonde hair that can be brushed and styled. It comes styled in a half-up twist with long loose curls. Kira is dressed in a tie-dye tank top that ties in the front and has embroidered decoration on the shoulders. It pairs with a green pleated skirt with buttons up the side, pair of brown lace-up boots, purple socks, and a purple wraparound bracelet.

Now, what’s a doll without accessories? In this package you can get a multicolored outdoor backpack with a top flap opening and side pockets to carry everything Kira needs for fieldwork. A koala keychain attaches to her backpack to remind her of Bean, the orphaned koala joey she works with at the veterinary clinic. Also, she’ll need a hat to keep the sun out of her face! So, this brown hat with a purple ribbon band helps with that! Then there are two postcards with Australia graphics on the front and notes to her friends back home on the back and two photos of animals she’s helping care for at the animal sanctuary: a koala and a kangaroo!

When Kira helps out at the Bailey Wildlife Sanctuary, she can use this Animal Exam Table! This set comes with an exam table with a pretend computer, three drawers, a shelf that holds a blood pressure cuff, and two exam tools. Bean the koala joey is also included! There is a set of screens that fit into the computer monitor and trigger the screen to light up and to play more than 40 sound clips of animal care tips from Kira. And what fun would it be without accessories? This set comes with so many, from a stethoscope to a scale to a feeding bottle, a folder to keep track of papers, and more!

Now, lastly, we have Kira’s Comfy Platform Tent! I mean this has all the bells and whistles of the ultimate camping experience! The tent is elevated on a platform and has curtains for privacy and to keep out critters. Again, with this fun set you get tons of accessories! A mattress that goes right on the platform floor, vanity table, faux fur cushion that can be used as an ottoman or extra table, and plenty of other furniture pieces. There are other accessories for daily use like a woven blanket, camera, box of tissues, bug spray, lantern that lights up, and more!
