American Girl Hotel & Spa Review

Give your American Girl doll a spa day treatment with the Hotel & Spa playset. This detailed building structure is double-sided, with graphics on one side depicting a hotel room and printed walls on the other side of a relaxing hotel spa. There’s also an indoor scene with a check-in area and door to the changing room.

When it’s all unfolded and assembled, you’ll see this is one luxurious playset. The hotel room has a printed window scene with curtains, and a bathroom with a mirror, sink, and toilet. You’ll even find a roll of pretend toilet paper and a faux bar of soap. Other accessories on this side include two pink pillows with a green American Girl Hotel & Spa logo printed on them, a mattress for the bed, a soft cotton comforter with allover print of water lilies, and a piece of printed art that can be flipped over for a different look.

Once settled in your room, head over to the spa side. A check-in desk has molded detail on the front to make it look like a vegetation wall. Shelves on the sides display different beauty products. A video monitor sits on the desk to check in guests, or flip the reversible screen to show a spa welcome screen. Get an employee’s attention by ringing the service bell. Other accessories include a folder and printed papers listing the spa services and wellness activities, an invoice, and a welcome letter. There’s also a pitcher of water with cucumber slices inside, two water glasses, a pretend snake plant in a vase, a floral print robe, a bottle of faux lotion, a bottle of pretend face cream, a jar of pretend sugar scrub with spoon, and a bottle of pretend hand sanitizer.

And there are some accessories that can be used on either side of the playset. Relax on the lounge chair that also folds flat for use as a bench in the hotel room. The tub acts as a soaking tub for the spa and a bathtub for the hotel room. Use the small table with shelf as a hotel room nightstand or lounge chair table. And the two white cotton towels are for spa and hotel room.
