The Zero Gravity Sprint Wall Climber is a simple idea that’s hard to believe actually works. An RC car that drives on the ground as well as the walls and ceiling? A tall claim!

Out of box, you’ll get a short charging cable, a sticker sheet, the controller, and the RC car itself. Some stickers are already applied, but you’ll have a few to place yourself. The car is very lightweight and bright red, so it’s easy to keep track of. It also has a delicate bit of skirting underneath that you must take care not to mess with. The controller requires 2 AAA batteries of your own, but after that, you’re ready to go. On the ground, the RC drives somewhat slowly, but the controls are very responsive. One note is that it runs best on clean entirely flat surfaces like hardwood or polished stone. Carpet will give this guy a hard time. Switch to wall clinging mode and stick it to the wall to get go into zero gravity mode. Honestly, this feature works wonderfully. You can drive just as fast as you can on the ground, and turn on a dime while still staying attached to the wall. And it even works well on the ceiling! A full charge will get you 45 minutes of play time before you need to recharge.

Should I get it?

This RC is a fun little diversion, thanks in big part to the impressive zero gravity gimmick. It’s definitely worth trying out for yourself if you see one in stores.

Pros

  • It’s bright and easy to keep track of.
  • It controls smoothly.
  • As advertised, it drives super well on walls and ceilings!

Cons

  • Batteries aren’t included.
  • Non-smooth surfaces (carpet, dusty floors, jutted-out tile) are no-go zones for this RC.
