4-in-1 Discovery House Review

Bring home play that encourages early developmental skills with the 4-in-1 Discovery House. This playset features five interactive sides and 10 play pieces, including three numbered balls, four shape blocks, and three fabric tissues. 

On the front of the house, you can open and close the mailbox, lift the lever up and down, open and close the front door, and lift the window up and down. When the window opens, the cat pops up. And when the door opens, the image above it moves. If you’re expecting sounds and music to start playing when these interactions are activated, think again. This is a totally battery-free and sound effect-free toy, keeping the focus on motor skills, cause and effect, and tactile play.

That brings us to one side of the house, which has three spinning gears. The other side and the back of the house feature colorful stretchy bands. You can pull at these and use them to put and pull the tissues, balls, and shapes. 

The roof has a shape sorter for the four shape pieces and a chimney where you can drop the balls or pull the tissues through. 

The instruction manual offers two ways for parents to inspire the play – play a hide and seek game to help baby learn about object permanence and play a label and find game to help children describe objects and recognize unique features.
