2023 Barbie Dreamhouse Review

Barbie remodeled her Dreamhouse this year. The new 2023 Dreamhouse is a little more pet-friendly, with a doggie door in the home’s front door and a space for pets on the kid-powered, wheelchair-accessible elevator. It even includes a pet dog! Play with the pup in the pet pool with slide and the pet playground, and then put the pup to bed in the pet bed.

But this house isn’t just for pets. There’s plenty of space for Barbie and her friends to host dinner parties at the dining room table or on the rooftop balcony. Host a slumber party with sleeping room for four dolls. One of the beds hides underneath another bed, while the top floor bonus room converts a shelving unit into a fold-down bed. While cooking in the kitchen, press the stovetop or open and close the oven door for sound effects and an oven light. You’ll need three AA batteries, which are not included. The instructions show the toilet making sound effects, but we found attaching the toilet to be very difficult, and ours made no sounds. Something else new about this Dreamhouse is the spiral slide. Dolls can slide down from the top floor all the way to the bottom and into the Barbie pool.

Unlike the last Dreamhouse, this one does not play music and lights, but this three-story dollhouse is a little more open for 360-degree play. 

Dolls are sold separately, but this does include more than 75 pieces of furniture and accessories.
