Box Office: Gravity Continues to Soar

Gravity held onto the #1 spot in it’s third weekend in theaters. The movie took in another $31 million, and has now earned $170.6 million, which makes it the 10th highest earning film in 2013.

Captain Phillips dropped it’s anchor at 2nd last week and remained there over the weekend. Three new movies arrived and all performed poorly. The remake of Carrie took #3, while Escape Plan landed at #5 and The Fifth Estate bombed into #8.
