Opening This Weekend: Skyfall

Skyfall isn’t a family-friendly movie but it is the 23rd James Bond movie and the PG-13 rating makes this a good one for parents (and aunts & uncles) to take their teens to. I remember the first time that I was was old enough and still young enough to be excited to go see a James Bond movie with my dad.

The movie is also setting all sorts of box office records around the planet with a more than $300 million take so far. Daniel Craig returns as Bond along with Dame Judi Dench as M in a story that revolves around M’s past and Bond’s loyalty to her. Javier Bardem, one of the best creepy character actors around, plays Bond’s nemesis in this latest installment of the longest-running film franchise of all time.

Skyfall  is rated PG-13 for intense violent sequences, some sexuality, language and smoking. It is 143 minutes long.
