Nintendo put the rumors to rest by confirming the game maker’s plan to release a new game system next year. It’s starting to sound like this new console will be more than just an updated version of the Wii but in fact, will be the Wii’s successor.
The still unnamed console, currently codenamed “Project Cafe”, will be officially unveiled at this Summer’s E3 expo in Los Angeles in June. Most gamer-guessers agree that the new Nintendo console will be a more powerful HD game system but beyond that, details are still sketchy. If Nintendo does introduce an entirely new console next year, they will beat Sony and Microsoft to the market by two to three years.
