E3 Recap: Game Publishers

Yesterday we recapped what was happening at the three hardware/software companies’ E3 2014 booths. Today we bring you some highlights from a few of the game publishers.

Activision:
The latest in the Call of Duty series, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, looks amazing, but what really has us excited is the family-friendly, Skylanders: Trap Team. We covered the game’s basics in a previous post that you can read here. At E3, we were treated to a look at more characters, like Pain-Yatta, a giant pinata villain with a lollipop weapon who can barf candy, and Krypt King, a Trap Master with a huge Traptanium sword.

Disney Interactive
Disney will continue to focus on Disney Infinity. The game had a huge presence in the E3 booth with visitors able to play the new Infinity: Marvel Superheroes game.

EA
The EA booth was heavy on sports with Madden NFL 15, FIFA 15, NHL 15 and UFC taking center stage. There is also a new game in the popular Dragon Age series, Dragon Age Inquisition on its way.

SEGA
Its going to be a big year for Sonic the Hedgehog as SEGA gears up for Sonic Boom. Boom will introduce a new look for Sonic and friends, their first-ever CG animated television series, new videogames and a new toy line.

Ubisoft
Ubisoft has a great line-up of active games on the way with Just Dance 2015, and a new game that combines mini-games with exercise called, Shape Up. This year, we will also see the release of  Rabbids Invasion: The Interactive TV Show, Tetris Ultimate and Assassin’s Creed: Unity.

Warner Bros.,
Warner Bros., has something in store for everyone with Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham, Mortal Kombat X and Batman, Arkham Knight in the works. There is also a new version of the popular 4-player game, Gauntlet, arriving this summer.
