Hey Gang, sorry for the tardiness on this weekly recap, but I have been at Toy Fair, checking out some awesome new toys. Among the new toys coming out this year, you will be happy to know that LEGO has more The LEGO Movie sets coming. Speaking of the movie, it was another great weekend at the theaters for The LEGO Movie, which easily held onto the top spot with another $48.8 million.
You can check out reviews of the LEGO toys for the movie that are in stores now, on our The Lego Movie page, here.
A couple of Valentine’s Day, date movies opened over the weekend with About Last Night taking the #2 spot and Endless Love opening in 5th. The RoboCop remake opened in the middle of last week and started off slow but picked up a little momentum over the weekend and eventually ended up in 3rd with $21.5 million. That’s not terrible but is isn’t great either. Speaking of terrible, Winter’s Tale bombed with just $7.8 million in its opening weekend and the #7 spot on the list.
