Friday the 13th turned out to be very lucky for Insidious Chapter 2, which opened in 1st with a stellar $41 million. That’s way better than the first Insidious movie’s $13.3 million opening in 2011. The new comedy, The Family, debuted in #2 with $14.5 million and Riddick dropped from #1 to #3 with a sad, $7.01 million.
