Despite being the only new movie to open over the weekend, I, Frankenstein flopped and wasn’t even able to crack the Top 5. The action-horror thriller opened in 6th with $8.3 million.
The Nut Job was one of those movies that held its spot from last week. The animated comedy came in 3rd again with another $12.3 million. Speaking of animated success…Frozen moved back up the list from 5th to this weekend’s 4th. Frozen now ranks 27 on the list of all-time domestic blockbusters and next weekend, Disney will replace the movie in select locations with a new sing-along version.
