Two of the new movies battling for the top spot on the Box Office list were Lucy and Hercules. Lucy, a sci-fi thriller starring Scarlett Johansson, clearly took the top spot with it’s $44 million debut. In the #2 position, Hercules, a historical action epic starring Dwayne Johnson, had a solid opening with $29 million. That figure is already more than January’s The Legend of Hercules (starring Kellan Lutz), which took in a $18.8 million in it’s entire run.
