Box Office, Apes Hold The Top Spot

Three new movies from three of the most popular genres – Horror, Family-Friendly Animated and Comedy – opened over the weekend, but none of them were able to take the #1 spot from Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes. Apes, which debuted at #1 last week, held the spot for a second weekend in a row by taking in another $36 million.

Here is The Top 10 for the weekend of July 18 – 20, 2014:

9. Maleficent ($3.3M)

10. Earth to Echo ($3.3M)
