My head is spinning at the number of great video games coming out today. There are a few in particular that I’m really excited about and I thought you might want to know about them so here they are!
Up first is our first ever rated M (for mature) game review but its an amazing game and worth mentioning because the kids in your life might be asking for it. It’s Fable III, the third game in the Fable franchise. Microsoft was kind enough to send me an early copy of the game.
Up next is the new Tony Hawk game, Tony Hawk: SHRED! SHRED features both skate-boarding and snowboarding runs and is controlled using a motion-sensing board that players stand on. SHRED is available for the Wii, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 and is rated E for everyone.
The latest edition of Rock Band is in stores today with Rock Band 3 jamming its way onto the DS, Wii, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. The game is rated T for Teen.
I was lucky enough to join the Beta testing group for my next pick, it’s LEGO Universe for Mac and PC (rated E10+). This game combines the familiar play-pattern of the other LEGO adventure games like LEGO Star Wars and Batman but introduces a new construction element where the bricks you collect during the game can be used to build whatever you imagine. You can read more of my thoughts on LEGO Universe in the FUN! Online Games, which should be arriving soon wherever print magazines are sold.
Are you ready for some football? If yes, grab the kids and check out Backyard Sports: Rookie Rush for the DS, Wii, Xbox 360 and PC (Download). Up to four players can enjoy this zany, kid-friendly football game that takes place on 12 interactive, neighborhood fields.
