Thule Urban Glide 2 Jogging Stroller Review

If you’re looking for a stroller that will compliment your early morning jogs or strolls, then you should make the Thule Urban Glide 2 your next purchase.  The Thule comes in five different colors: Black/Cypress Green, Aluminium/Majolica Blue, Black on Black, Aluminium/Dark Shadow, and Black/Grey Melange.  We are reviewing the Black/Cypress Green one today. The maximum stroller weight capacity is 75 pounds, but the max child weight is 49 lbs. And it should pass through any 27.1 inch door with ease. The Thule is pretty lightweight at 25 pounds, but it could be heavier for some individuals. The Thule can be closed using one hand and the stroller’s suspension makes the ride smooth for both you and your child. The Thule has a reclining seat with a convenient one-handed recline and a padded five-point safety harness.  The seat also has two mesh pockets to keep toys/snacks in while you stroll. The ergonomic, adjustable handlebar lets any parent or guardian adjust it to their height preference and there’s a large cargo basket with zip-top cover, and rear mesh pocket along with a multi-position canopy with side-ventilation windows. The UPF 50 Canopy has a peekaboo window with magnetic closure on the side. The twist hand brake provides speed control and the swivel front wheel is able to lock in place so you can maintain control. The Thule’s 16” Wheels come off easily if needed for narrow storage options. You have to make sure the handle bar is at its lowest setting before closing the stroller otherwise the handle scrapes on the ground. However, there is no phone pocket near the handle of the stroller so you have to put it in the basket below. I did like this stroller, but it feels very back heavy, like it could tip backwards at any moment. It’s better when a child is in it, but it feels weird when it’s empty. When Riley is sitting in the stroller, he looks like he’s always at a recline, which is a problem because, when we go for walks, I give him a snack cup and I don’t want him to eat it laying down. Personally, I don’t like the hand brake because I have to remove my hand from the stroller to put it on the break and turn it, which feels inconvenient.  But, that’s just my preference and not a con of the Thule.
