Step 2 Adventure Camper Review

Preschoolers will have lots of adventures when they explore and play inside the Adventure Camper. This very large playset looks like a camper van and is loaded with pretend play activities. Step inside to the molded-in kitchen area with large sink, a stovetop with clicker knobs, storage space, and a seat. (The seat can only hold one child at a time with a max weight limit of 35 pounds.) There’s also a skylight and decorative wheel, plus a working doorbell. You’ll need two AAA batteries for that, which are not included. This open-concept camper also features large windows and a Dutch-style door. That means it’s easy for parents to watch kids as they play inside and outside the playset. Kids can also grill up some grub on the pretend grill with the Stack’n’Stay food set. Along with utensils and dishes, kids can make some pretend hamburgers, hot dogs, and s’mores. Made of Step2’s EverTough material, this durable playset can be used indoors and outdoors.

It takes at least one hour to assemble this playset, and it is a two-person job. We found assembly to be very difficult, mainly because the holes were not pre-drilled. You’ll need a Phillips head screwdriver and safety goggles. The assembled dimensions are 50 inches tall, 63 inches wide, and 36 inches deep.
