If you’re a fan of Clue, then you’ll love the look of the Clue Luxury Edition. What makes this game so luxurious? The game board is a burl-finished furniture-quality wooden cabinet with decorative die-cast metal Clue name plaques on two sides. Instead of having a flat board, the rooms are three-dimensional underneath the tempered glass playfield. As in the original game, you can play as six colorful characters, but the six pawns in this version have wooden tops with a weighted die-cast base. The six weapons are plated die-cast, and the game cards are foil-stamped. A stylish detective’s notepad with six pencils, a solution envelope marked “Confidential”, two dice, and gameplay instructions are also included. All of the pieces store nicely inside a faux leather storage box.

The gameplay is the same. You’ll need three to six players. (Because this is an adult collectible, it’s really for ages 18 and up.) Players must find out who is responsible for the murder of Mr. Boddy, what weapon was used, and in what room the murder took place. Roll the dice and move around the game board, making suggestions whenever you enter a room. Suggestions help you determine by process of elimination which three cards are in the Confidential envelope. To make a suggestion, you’ll move a suspect and weapon into the room you’re in. Then suggest that the crime was committed in that room, by that suspect, and with that weapon. If any other player holds those cards in their hand, they secretly show you those cards to prove that your suggestion is false. You can then mark those off on your notepad. The first player to correctly accuse the suspect, weapon, and room is the winner.
