Star Wars Lightsaber Forge Mace Windu and Darth Vader Review

These toys function exactly like their siblings in the Lightsaber Forge line. Wherever you see a spring-loaded button, you can press down and free up the two parts to be unscrewed and/or separated. You can then attach an equivalent part from another Lightsaber to create your own custom weapon of the force. The attention to detail in these Lightsabers is excellent. Sculpting is unique to each character, and in some cases, quite accurate to the source material, like Vader’s Paintwork on the Lightsabers is precise and quality, with gold and black accents making the details pop even more. Where creative liberties are taken, they’re evocative of the setting from which the character hails, the clone wars, in Mace’s case. The kyber crystal sculpting hidden in each Lightsaber is such a great detail. Mace’s Lightsaber blade is opaque purple, whereas Vader’s is translucent red. That’s because Vader’s Lightsaber comes with lights and sounds, enabled with 2 AAA batteries, which are not included. Of course, if you want Mace’s hilt with Vader’s lights and sounds, this is no problem to accomplish. Even sets that aren’t battery compatible can be interchanged with battery compatible parts from other sets. The possibilities are endless. Our reviewer really liked the combination of the purple blade on Vader’s hilt.
