Remember back in January when I posted about Disney Interactive’s new game, Disney Infinity? Well, the game is just two days away from it’s release and it looks like this is going to be a big one!
The game revolves around collectible, real-world figures of characters from The Walt Disney Company and Pixar Animation Studios that come to life in the game when placed on the Infinity Base. Toys“R”Us just announced that all US stores and Toys“R”Us.com will open at 8am on Sunday to begin selling Disney Infinity. Toys“R”Us will also be the only place where shoppers can find figures from the Infinite Crystal Series, an assortment of exclusive, collectible figures that have enhanced in-game abilities, as well as exclusive Power Discs that unlock special in-game powers, gadgets, vehicles and more.

Lightning McQueen Infinite Crystal Series™ figure
Whatever the task, Lightning McQueen is quick to react! Whether he’s jumping over canyons or racing across a desert, nothing slows him down. This exclusive crystal figure allows players to earn bonus points and access special, unique in-game abilities, making Lightning McQueen stand out from the rest! No batteries required. Ages 6 years and up.
Mike’s Car Power Disc
Mike Wazowski from Monsters Inc. can cruise through the worlds of Disney Infinitywith the help of Mike’s Car Power Disc. Players can use the disc to spawn Mike’s car featured in Monsters Inc., giving him a unique edge over other characters in the game. No batteries required. Ages 6 years and up.
Disney Infinity is Rated E10+. It will be available Sunday, August 18, on the Nintendo 3DS, Wii, Wii U, PlayStation3, Xbox 360 and iPad.
