The Spy Gear Panosphere 360 Spy Cam is capable of recording in every direction at once. Its 360-degree panoramic video recording ensures that young secret agents don't miss a thing. This comes with 2GB of storage for more than 2000 photos or 10 minutes of video in 720p. You can expand the memory with an additional micro SD memory card, which is sold separately.
Before you begin, you'll need to charge the camera by connecting it to a computer using the included USB cable. It takes a little over 10 minutes for a full charge. The red LED light will turn solid when the camera is ready.
Then, use one of the three attachments for secretly placing the Panosphere in a filming location. The suction cup bracket lets you stick the camera to a flat surface. The sliding disk bottom lets you slide the camera into the middle of the action. And the strap bracket makes it easy to attach the camera anywhere, such as the handlebars of a bike.
Connect the camera to your computer to upload the photos and videos and use the included editing software to explore the footage, make edits, and upload the videos and photos to social media networks. You'll need to visit the Spy Gear website to download the full version of the software.
The Spy Gear Panosphere 360 Spy Cam is really cool and works really well. We had a lot of fun sneakily taking photos and video around the office. It was easy to attach the camera to various surfaces using the included attachments, and the camera was just small enough to go undetected no matter where we put it. The editing software lets kids look at their pictures and videos from different angles, which is good for surveying the scene. However, the software is not user-friendly. There were no instructions on how to use the software, so we ended up just pressing buttons and seeing what happened. Somehow we stumbled onto how to edit videos and save them, but we never quite figured out how to edit photos and save them. There are links in the software for YouTube and Facebook, but instead of opening a window that allows kids to immediately upload their photos and videos to these social networks, the links take kids to the Spy Gear YouTube and Facebook pages. If kids have accounts with these networks, they'll have to log in and upload their photos and videos manually.
The Spy Gear Panosphere 360 Spy Cam is for ages 8 and up. Keep in mind that in order to have a YouTube or Facebook account, you must be at least 13 years old. Younger children who want to upload content to either of these social networks will need to use a parent's account.
