- Magic Fun Dough Fairy Tea Party from RoseArt
- We recommend this product for ages 3 and up
What It Is
With Magic Fun Dough, kids can create colorful characters out of modeling dough. There are several themed kits available, including Fairy Tea Party. With this kit, kids can make dough unicorns, butterflies, fairies, and more. The whole process of creating the dough characters is similar to that of temporary tattoos. The characters are transfer slides that you adhere to the dough using water.
Roll Magic Fun Dough into a flat, smooth shape. Select a transfer and peel off the plastic film. Place the transfer facedown on the dough. Using the water applicator, rub the tip over the back of the transfer, squeezing gently. Then hold the transfer press on top of the transfer for at least one minute. Peel away the paper backing to reveal the character transferred onto the dough. Let it dry for one minute, and then use a shape cutter or the dough knife to cut out the character. You can add a display stand to it for display and play. And if you don't want to keep the character you just created, simply knead it into the dough and it will disappear.
This activity set also includes an eight-piece playset with teapot extruder, teacup, and saucer. There are also several molds on the base of the playset as well as a mushroom book mold. Kids can also decorate the two flower stems with Magic Fun Dough, and spin their dough characters on top of the mushroom spinner.
Magic Fun Dough Fairy Tea Party comes with a playset, a rolling pin, a plastic knife, 50 transfers, a water applicator, a transfer press, five dough cutters, five display stands, and five three-ounce tubs of Magic Fun Dough in pink, blue, purple, and white.
Is It Fun?
This is a fun new way for kids to create and play with modeling dough. Kids will like creating their own characters and then creating all sorts of imaginative tea party adventures with those characters on the playset.
Who It’s For
Magic Fun Dough Fairy Tea Party is for ages 3 and up.
What To Be Aware Of
We did have some trouble getting the transfers to, well, transfer to the dough. It requires the right combination of water amount, pressure, and time. The transfers that did work for us always took at least another minute to fully transfer. We actually thought the transfers worked better on the white dough than on the colored doughs for some reason. There might be some trial and error involved, so kids should know to just be patient.
Magic Fun Dough is non-toxic and wheat-free. It is not intended to be eaten or swallowed.
Do not apply the transfers to any surface other than the Magic Fun Dough.
