- Build Your Own Robosaur from Discovery Kids
- We recommend this product for ages 6 and up
- 2 AA batteries required TTPM trusts
What It Is
Kids can develop a basic understanding of beginning robotics by building the Robosaur. Follow the directions to assemble the robot, including placing speaker, LED eyes and sensors. Then, once assembled, the robot is activated by sound or touch. Clapping hands or touching the head will make the Robosaur walk, roar, move its spikes and tail and make its eyes light up.
Is It Fun?
For young kids interested in robotics, it's engaging to see the way the pieces fit together. It also lets the curious mind understand some of the components that are necessary for a robot to work. Once it's together, kids will get a kick out of watching it come to life.
Who It’s For
The Robosaur is best for kids ages 6-8 who are intrigued by robotoics and building.
What To Be Aware Of
The directions are very clear, and one of the things kids learn (kind of in the background) is how to follow directions in the assembly process.
Some of the pieces around the head are fairly small, so an adult may need to help kids.
The set includes a magnetic screwdriver and small screws. Be sure to keep these parts away from younger children while assembling the Robosaur.
