What It Is
Micro cars are always popular with kids, and they're a big trend in 2012, with at least three major new introductions in this category. The Micro Chargers are some of the coolest that we've seen, and some of the most satisfying to play with. Before each run, you have to charge them up, and they have a unique eight-second charge and the ability to go up to 600 scale miles per hour. The Micro Chargers Time Track is an easy-to-assemble set that will let you race up to four of your Micro Chargers at one time. Place the Micro Chargers into the launcher unit, and press the button to start charging the cars. While the cars are charging, turn the timer to close the gate so the cars keep going around the track. Then press the buttons to launch the cars onto the track. When the timer runs out, you'll see which car wins as they go into the finish lanes: one, two, and three. The set comes with two Micro Chargers cars and two trading cards. Kids can add extra track (sold separately) to build extended, more dramatic configurations.
Is It Fun?
One of the things we like about the Micro Chargers cars is that they do really get charged up. This is a new take on a classic toy. The innovative charging mechanism delivers high performance but is easy for kids to operate.
Who It’s For
The Micro Chargers Time Track is for ages 6 and up.
What To Be Aware Of
Assembly is required. The track is easy to assemble, and the directions are very clear.
Two AA batteries are required but not included.
Make sure the cars are fully inserted in the launcher so that they charge. You can tell they are charging by touching them and making sure that the contacts at the back of the car are sitting against the charging rods. You'll also know if the connection wasn't good because when you release the car, it won't go very far.
Also make sure you use the Micro Chargers with the blue bottoms. These are designed for racing. There are Micro Chargers designed for stunts that have red bottoms.
