What It Is

The Play-Doh Perfect Pop Maker is part of the Play-Doh Sweets Café line of playsets that let kids create Play-Doh versions of desserts and sweet treats. With the Play-Doh Perfect Pop Maker, kids can make pretend popsicles and lollipops out of Play-Doh. The playset includes four pop sticks, four two-ounce cans of Play-Doh, and two interchangeable molds (lollipop and popsicle) that allow kids to create and display their treats.

To start, choose which mold you want to use and attach the mold pieces to the machine. Place some Play-Doh around one of the pop sticks, set the stick in the holder in between the mold pieces, and press down on the lever to squeeze the mold pieces around the Play-Doh to form the shape. The base of the playset has different molds (including jelly bean and gummy bear shapes) that kids can use to create decorative Play-Doh pieces for the popsicles and lollipops. Kids can also make Play-Doh candy by following the directions on the bottom of the box.

Is It Fun?

Kids love making pretend food with Play-Doh, and Hasbro does a consistently excellent job of creating Play-Doh sets that let kids have realistic, but pretend, cooking and food experiences. The lollipops and popsicles come out looking like the real things (only non-edible), and the Perfect Pop Maker playset engages kids in lots of creative and imaginative food play.
