LEGO Legends of Chima Laval’s Journey Review (Warner Bros Interactive)

What It Is

LEGO Legends of Chima: Laval's Journey is based on the LEGO Legends of Chima toy line and uses the characters and settings from the line to create a story-driven, adventure game.

Is It Fun?

This is a huge game for a small, handheld device. Kids start the adventure with Laval, the Lion Tribe Prince, and will unlock additional playable characters as the story progresses. There are 15 levels and each level is filled with action, large worlds and tons of hidden objects. Like most LEGO games the environments are filled with smashable items and kids will have to build items to progress. The controls are easy to pick up and Laval has the ability to "Chi Up" throughout the game to unleash his inner beast.

Who It’s For

The game is rated E10+ for cartoon violence but most parents will likely think it's fine for LEGO fans ages 6 and up.

What To Be Aware Of

Although this is an adventure game, it has all the humor and jokes that LEGO games are known for.

The game is available for Nintendo 3DS, DS and PlayStation Vita.
