Orbeez Magic Light-Up Globe Review (The Maya Group)

What It Is

Orbeez are tiny, hard pellets that grow into soft and squishy colorful balls when you place them in water. Kids can use the Orbeez balls to fill the Magic Light-Up Globe to create a colorful light show in their rooms.

Pour 1 ¼ teaspoons of dry Orbeez into a large bowl. Fill the bowl with two cups of water. Allow the Orbeez to soak for three to four hours or overnight. Then drain the grown Orbeez using a strainer or your hands. Place the grown Orbeez into the globe until it is half full. Fill the globe with water. Close the lid securely to prevent water from leaking. Press the On button on the globe's base. The Magic Light-Up Globe will light up and change color, while Orbeez move around the globe. For best effects, turn off the lights and watch the moving light display on the ceiling.

The Orbeez Magic Light-Up Globe comes with 1,500 Orbeez in six colors, a light-up globe, and an activity/instruction booklet.

Is It Fun?

The Orbeez Magic Light-Up Globe is an easy activity to do (as long as you have patience to wait for the Orbeez to grow) that results in a cool nightlight and room décor item. Kids will like the look of the colorful Orbeez within the globe and projected onto their bedroom ceilings.

Who It’s For

The Orbeez Magic Light-Up Globe is for ages 5 and up.

What To Be Aware Of

Three AAA batteries are required but not included.

It is recommended that you add a pinch of salt to the water when growing the dry Orbeez. The Orbeez will not grow as long, but they will stay fresh longer.

The colorful Orbeez may look like candy to younger children, so make sure to keep these out of reach of kids under 5.

To dispose of Orbeez, place them in the trash or work them into garden soil. Because Orbeez give off water when it is dry, they can be used to hydrate soil and conserve water usage. Do not throw Orbeez in the sink, garbage disposal, or drain.
